The original chimney was in poor condition, covered in moss, with crumbling mortar joints, rusted flashing, and a receding crown that left it open to severe water damage.

Our restoration process began with a thorough pressure wash to remove years of moss and debris, exposing the true condition of the brickwork. Once clean, we ground out the deteriorated mortar joints and repointed them with fresh mortar, carefully struck for a crisp, professional finish that not only enhances the appearance but also reinforces the chimney’s structural integrity.

We replaced the failing metal flashing with brand-new black chimney flashing designed for long-lasting protection against water intrusion. This upgrade ensures the vulnerable junction between the chimney and roof is sealed tightly, safeguarding the home from costly leaks.

To complete the project, we applied a crown coat to the top of the chimney, sealing and preserving the crown against the elements. The result is a chimney that looks like new, performs flawlessly, and is fully prepared to withstand years of Pacific Northwest weather.
